Eight years had passed since the day Shadow's family was murdered. To her however, it only seemed like yesterday that it happened. It was the biggest impact of her life and that vow she had made was still heavy in her mind. Each time she thought about the fact Intake was still alive made her stick to her stomach. She wanted him dead and his head hanging within the castle walls to prove of his death. She stared at the mount on the wall just behind the two large Senorht (thrones) in the Royal Room. She closed her eyes and clenched her hands into fists, not clenching too hard to make her hands bleed none of the less no matter how much she wanted to. She jumped slightly as she felt a hand on her shoulder, unclenching her fists as she slowly opened her eyes. She knew the scent of which it was, hence the reason her reaction wasn't as big. She turned her head to look at Myuka who was standing behind her, a slight frown lingering on her face. "Hey, don't beat yourself up over the fact he isn't dead yet." She said to her only to see Shadow give a silent sigh. 'I just can't help it. It's all ready been eight years since the incident.' Her lips moved silently. Myuka's silver fox ears went back slightly on her black hair, but then they perked up as she gave a grin. "Oh come on Shadow! Don't dwell on the negative think about the positive! You just need to wait things out!" Funny as it was for her to say it, she did anyways. Myuka was the least person you'd except to be patent, yet alone give advice dealing with it. Though she was glad she got at least a slight smile out of Shadow's lips. 'I know... But it's just taking too long...' "Oh well. We'll get him, don't worry." Shadow nodded her head and she and Myuka walked out of the Royal Room and to the outside grounds of the castle.

Just to their luck, once they had stepped foot outside of the castle, loud shrieks and screams of terror came within the middle of city grounds. They both were startled and looked at each other, then back to where the commotion was both of them rushing over as they summoned their sheathed blades to their sides as they made way. They both stopped in their tracks to see none other than the devil himself... Intaku. Shadow started to snarl when her sapphire blue eyes lay upon him. Myuka had glared at him, "You!" With that both girls drew their blades out from their sheaths and both of them started to transform into their true forms, since they had been released from their seals of their sheaths. Shadow's Kumora remained in its katakana format as it grew from being two feet and four inches to exactly twelve feet long. As for Myuka's katakana, it changed into a fang type form, becoming longer and wider; the same length of Shadow's katakana, to eight feet long and thirty inches wide and quite thick.

Intaku only smirked seeming to be placated. “Well, if it isn’t my two favorite ladies.” He said mockingly to them, not getting angered like the Myuka and Shadow. He started to walk towards them, nonchalant like. Fire formed at his hands as it started to extend out before the flames vanished and revealed two blades of red in his hands. Seeing this, the girls got into their normal fighting stance, ready for him. Intaku grinned, then suddenly, he vanished from their sight, making them even more on guard as they started to glance around them. However, he appeared behind them and both of them turned around in the opposite directions from each other to swing their massive blades at him. He easily blocked their attacks with both of his swords and so he swiped a kick to their stomachs, knocking the both of them backwards. “You both are still foolish as ever.” He said to them as he started to laugh. Myuka narrowed her eyes at him as her eyes started to turn red, just a bit darker than a light red. “Why you…!” She said as she charged at him head on, starting to become furious at him from his mockery. ‘Myuka no!’ Shadow tried to stop her, but it was no use for the mute. She then used her head and appeared behind Intaku as Myuka was making her strike head on. They both swung their blades at him, Myuka making a horizontal one and Shadow a downward one. Intaku wasn’t expecting Shadow to attack him from behind so he managed to block Myuka’s attack, but couldn’t escape Shadow’s swing, which went through his left shoulder plate and cut some of his long silver hair. He growled as he gave a whirling kick to the both of them, once again knocking them away from him. He glanced at his shoulder and removed the armor and his cape from his shoulders, only left with the rest of his armor. As for the girls, after they were kicked, they both regained themselves and quickly got back onto their feet from landing in the soft snow.

Myuka’s eyes seemed to have grown a darker color as her anger had risen from what it was before. She glanced at Shadow, 'Calm yourself Myuka... There's no reason to let your anger go further.' Shadow's lips moved and Myuka nodded, closing her eyes as she sighed deeply. She reopened her eyes and now they were back to being just a light red color. They both got back into their fighting stance, ready for more, they both stared at Intake, puzzled when he started to laugh out of no where. Their guards rose up, and Myuka gasped when some thing seemed to be coming out of Intaku's back. Her eyes widen, "Wh-what's going on?!" She said aloud and Shadow simply stood there, staring at him with a rather worried look on her face. Black, red tinted dragon sprouted out from his shoulder blades and flung themselves outward. Spreading out as blood splattered slightly, tinting the white snow with red. "So... you think you girls can still beat me in this round?!" He said as he jumped into the sky, keeping himself in mid-air with his dragon wings. 'My turn to have a go...' Shadow said and Myuka nodded. "Be careful." She said as she stuck her sword into the snow. A light blue, icy light came from Shadow's back as dragon like wings, much like Intaku's, started to appear. Unlike Intaku's though, Shadow's wings were icy blue due to the fact they were pure ice. Shadow prepared herself before jumping into the air, using her wings to be in mid-air.

The battle in mid-air had begun. Intake came straight for Shadow right when she had gotten into the air. Slashing downward through the middle of her chest. Shadow winced as she came back at him slashing upward at him and she kept on swinging her sword, upward, downward and from both sides. She was furious at this point and she kept on swinging and swinging. Intaku was smirking and grinning at Shadow's efforts. He blocked each swing and slash, even when her speed of attacks kept on rising and rising. By now they were moving all over around in the sky as Shadow kept on attacking nonstop at him. He vanished and Shadow's eyes widen and looked up as Intaku appeared above her. Before she could move to get away from him, she was kicked in the middle of her back and was sent flying down to the ground. She crashed hard, creating a bit of a crater in the ground. She seemed to have 'groaned' as she was getting herself back up onto her feet. However, a fireball came burning against her back and she ‘screamed’ in pain, collapsing back down to the ground, no longer really able to move due to the burn that was on her back. Myuka looked upward at Intaku, growling as he chuckled then started to laugh. Myuka turned her gaze back to Shadow, getting her fanged sword and ran towards her. “Shadow! Are you okay?” She asked as she helped her friend back up onto her feet. Shadow nodded her head slowly, getting out of her daze and she placed her free hand on her head and ‘sighed’. ‘I’ll be okay,’ She said to her, looking at Myuka then looking up at Intaku, narrowing her eyes at him.

Intaku stopped his laughing for a moment and looked down at the two glaring girls. “How amusing. You girls have really made my day.” He said to them as he laughed a bit once more at them. As he laughed Myuka and Shadow looked at each other and Myuka had a thought struck at her and Shadow read her mind, a smirk curling to both of their lips as they nodded to each other. They then turned their gaze back at Intaku, who stopped laughing to look at the smirks upon their faces. His eyes twitched, becoming uneasy slightly, “What do you have planned?!” He asked them as he started to snarl at them, getting into a battle stance. They vanished and quickly appeared across from each other, having the mid-air Intaku in the middle of them. Intaku looked back and forth, preparing for whatever the girls were about to do, which was making his own anger rise from not knowing what exactly they were going to do. “Answer me!” He yelled out.

Myuka rose her sword up into the air, twisting and twirling it in her hands, she swung it side to side then rose it back up again and crashed it into the ground. The earth below her started to rise up in chunks and pieces and they all flew up high in the air, higher than Intaku was. The earth then started to form into a giant ball, not a perfect shaped one, but still a ball none of the less. At the same time the ball of earth was forming, Shadow twirled her katana in her fingers, using just one hand, but she turned her body and had the twirl start from the ground and slashed upward, bringing up the snow from the ground. She whirled herself and then slashed her katana upward and the snow flew passed Intaku and to the giant ball that was now completed. “Comet Smash!” They both said at the same time and with their swords rose above their heads, they slashed them downward at the same time, and the now newly formed comet came falling down at Intaku at great speeds.

Intaku had stared at the comet that was above him, his golden eyes widen from what he was seeing. When he had snapped back to reality, the comet had hit him and brought him down to the ground in an instant… Smashed under the comet. Myuka had a wide grin spread across her face as her eyes turned back to their normal color, no longer angry. She jumped, “Yay!” She called out happily, disappearing in a blue fire and appeared near Shadow. “We did it! We did it!” She said happily and looked puzzled at Shadow’s look. Shadow stared at the comet and seemed uneasy, and it was easy to tell. ‘No we didn’t…’ She said to Myuka and Myuka looked right at the comet, blinking. A red flash came from the middle of the comet and the big ball of earth and ice, shattered. Intaku rose up into the air, bloody with a rather pissed off look upon his face. “You both are dead!” he yelled loudly at them.

“Rose Slash.” An unknown male voice called out and out of no where came a red, black tinted slash with the after affects of black rose petals lingering around, cutting one of Intaku’s wings and sent him crashing back down to the ground. The only thing that was to be seen when the slash attack was made was a black shadow, which had quickly vanished. Myuka and Shadow both looked around and tried to locate where the shadow had gone. Intaku grunted as he slowly got back up onto his feet, holding his shoulder. He growled and looked around just like the girls.

“You will not kill my little sister.” A voice spoke again, but this time the voice came from on top of a near by building and all eyes went towards him. He stood only around 6’0”ft tall with a body type that is almost well built. His black hair only went down to his shoulder blades while his bangs just went to the bottom of his eyes. Glowing blood red eyes pierced through his black hair none of the less. Black fox ears were lowered and his five black foxtails swayed side to side, seeming to be angry. His clothes were average, a slightly baggy black shirt with black loose jeans with a black belt around his waist, bare foot. In his hands were two black blades, slightly longer than average double-edged swords.

Shadow’s eyes widen, ‘M… M-Miho?!’ She was stunned and really couldn’t believe her eyes. Myuka looked rather shocked too, “Is it really…?” She asked herself quietly. Intaku was surprised himself and so a smirk came across his lips. “Looks like you’re not dead after all…” He said and with that, he vanished, for good. With Intaku gone, the girls sheathed their blades while the one named Miho made his vanish. He leaped off the roof top and landed just a few feet from the girls. “Long time no see… Shadow… Myuka.” He said to the two, a small smile coming across his lips. Shadow’s eyes started to well up in tears and jumped at him and hugged him tightly. Miho caught his sister who was now crying on his shoulder, he held her close and sighed, smiling more. “I missed you too, little sister.” He said as he chuckled slightly. Shadow pulled herself away, kinda forcefully and slapped her brother across his face. Tears still ran down her cheeks, but she looked a bit mad. Myuka shook her head side to side and placed her hands on her hips. “Okay, I’m lost… How are you still alive?!” ‘My thoughts exactly.’ Shadow said after Myuka. Miho sighed and ran his fingers from one hand through his bangs and scratched his head. “How about we go home and I’ll explain every thing.” He said to them and the girls looked at each other then back at him, nodding.

Just a couple of hours later, Miho had finished explaining every thing that has happened to him since the night of the family murder. They all sat within the dinning hall, all of them waiting for their evening meals to come to them. Shadow sighed and rubbed her head slightly and Myuka just sat there looking at Miho as if she had been staring off into space throughout most of what he was talking about. When she shook her head slightly side to side, she sat up in her seat. “So to sum things up… you made a deal so you can live, now you’re half heartless, you were serving under whats-his-face before you could return here?” “Yes, that’s about right.” “Then why didn’t you just say that instead of going into detail?” “Thought I’d let you know every thing and not hide a single thing.” ‘Thank you brother for explaining. I thought I was the only one alive…’ Shadow finally spoke after a few minuets of her not saying any thing to them. Miho nodded his head, “You’re welcome.” He said and looked towards Hiro who came with a cart that had three plates on them. “Food!” Myuka cried out happily. Hiro set them in front of the three and he looked at Miho. “Good to see you again, Master Miho.” Miho smiled, “Good to see you too Hiro.” Hiro smiled back as he looked at Shadow and was able to read her eyes, knowing that she was happy to have her older brother back, and knowing that he was some one who wasn’t dead at all. He left back to the kitchen to go and have his own dinner. As the three ate, a young girl came through the double doors, escorted by one of the guards. “Miss Rosemary is here.” He announced and allowed her in.

She looked a lot like Myuka, since they were sisters after all. But, unlike Myuka, her hair was silver and tied back with a ribbon. Wearing but a simple short sleeved purple shirt and white capri pants and she had white, wrist length gloves. She looked very young, barely hitting her teenager age. She smiled, "Hello sister." She said then looked at Miho and she blank, going silent from what she was going to say next. Myuka looked at the girl that came in and she smiled widely, jumping out of her seat and rushed over to her and gave her a big hug. "Rosemary!" She said as she hugged her. Shadow looked at the little girl and smiled, 'Hello Rosemary.' Rosemary smiled and laughed. "I'm happy to see you too sis... and hello Shadow!" She said as she was released from her sisters grip, She walked over to Miho and tilted her head to the side as she studied him. Miho looked at her and smiled, "Long time no see, Rosemary." He said to her and Rosemary's mouth dropped. "Butterfly!" She said as she gave Miho a big hug. Miho sighed and a slight blush came across his cheeks, "Rosemary, you're not a baby any more, you don't have to call me Butterfly any more." He said as he shook his head side to side. "You'll always be Butterfly to me." She said as she gave a wide and childish smile. Miho sighed once again and hugged Rosemary back before they broke off.

Myuka and Rosemary sat down and Hiro had brought a plate for Rosemary and all four of them began to eat. While they were eating, Rosemary was filled in on what had happened, the reason why she and Shadow were all bandaged up and how Miho was still here. After they had finished eating, "A lot has happened today then." Rosemary said, sighing slightly. Myuka gave a smile and laughed, "Yup!" She said while Shadow nodded her head. Rosemary frowned slightly, "I wish I could do some thing to help your wounds though." Hiro came to her side and smiled, "If you wish Miss, you can help me with gathering herbs and making medicine for them." Rosemary looked at Hiro and smiled, "That'd be great!" She said as she stood up. They left the room and the three remaining all looked at each other. "Well... isn't this kind of awkward..." Myuka said to break the silence after a couple of minuets of nothing. Miho shrugged his shoulders and stood up, "Is my room still available?" He asked Shadow as he turned his red gaze to her. Shadow nodded her head 'yes' to him. 'Yes. No one's touched it at all.' Her lips moved and Miho nodded his head. "Good. I'll heading there then. See ya." He said as he seemed to have melted to the ground  but as the girls looked, they saw a black puddle in which he sank in to. Shadow seemed to have sighed as she had stood up. 'He's changed quite a bit...' Her lips moved. Myuka looked at her and titled her head to the side. "What do you mean?" She asked her. 'I don't know... he just doesn't seem like he was back when we were all kids...' She said as she shrugged her shoulders slightly. Myuka smiled and stood up and walked over to Shadow, placing a hand on her shoulder. "It's probably just you. He just came back, give him some time." She said and Shadow had looked at her and smiled, nodding her head, 'Yeah, maybe you are right about that...' "Yeah! Now, shall we go see Rosemary and Hiro to treat our wounds?" Myuka asked as she gave her a bright smile. Shadow nodded her head, still smiling, 'Yes, lets.' She answered and so the both of them headed towards Hiro's quaters, where they would be tended to.
